In Pictures: Dukes of Hazzard premiere

The film version of 80s TV series The Dukes of Hazzard received its premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday. Leading lady Jessica Simpson (second left) was joined by her parents, sister Ashlee and husband, singer Nick Lachey (centre).

Johnny Knoxville

Actor Johnny Knoxville, best known for his Jackass role, plays Luke Duke in the forthcoming comedy, running rings around screen adversary Boss Hogg, as played by Burt Reynolds.

Jessica Simpson and Willie Nelson

Singer and former teen star Jessica Simpson plays the feisty Daisy Duke to Willie Nelson's Uncle Jesse.

Seann William Scott

American Pie star Seann William Scott, who plays Bo Duke, said of all his movie roles The Dukes of Hazzard was the most fun "and it shows on screen".

Lynda Carter (l0 and Jessica Simpson

Also at the screening at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre was former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter. The 54-year-old actress co-stars in the forthcoming film.

Quentin Tarantino

Film director Quentin Taratino was among the stars attending the Dukes of Hazzard premiere. The film opens in the US on 5 August and in the UK on 26 August.
