In pictures: Kenya building collapse

A survivor is pulled from the debris of an unfinished five-storey building more than 24 hours after it collapsed in Kenya's capital, Nairobi.

At least 12 people are known to have died, with more casualties expected.

A 140-strong Israeli specialist team with heavy rescue equipment is on the scene, working alongside US troops and UK rescue teams.

Sniffer dogs are also being used in the frantic efforts to find survivors trapped beneath the debris.

Rescuers are concentrating on four areas where they have heard knocking or muted voices.

They are drilling air holes and using specialist cutting equipment and detection devices.
