In pictures: Chilean army tragedy

Angry relatives of Chilean troops missing in the Andes have been blaming army officers for the tragedy in which 45 are feared dead.

There was relief for some families, as their loved ones were rescued and brought back to the Los Angeles base.

Many of the survivors were airlifted out after sheltering in a mountain refuge.

But for some relatives the wait for news was unbearable.

Some were unprepared for the shock of hearing the worst.

Rescuers are still searching for survivors, but there is little hope for those still missing.
