1 of 8 Musician and TV presenter Jools Holland arrived for his wedding to sculptor Christabel McEwen on Tuesday. The private ceremony was held in Cooling, near Rochester.

2 of 8 Robbie Coltrane, star of Cracker and the Harry Potter films, posed with the groom outside St James's Church, which required a special licence in order to be used for the service.

3 of 8 Robbie Coltrane also had a hug and a kiss for Lulu. The veteran Scottish singer appeared on Jools Holland's New Year's Eve Hootenanny in December 2003.

4 of 8 Comedienne Dawn French attended the service with her husband Lenny Henry. French's comedy partner Jennifer Saunders was also among the guests.

5 of 8 Ringo Starr arrived by helicopter with his wife, erstwhile Bond actress Barbara Bach. The former Beatle appeared on Jools Holland's 2003 Christmas album.

6 of 8 Stephen Fry cut a dapper figure as he arrived for the service. Fry and Holland both attended Prince Charles' marriage to Camilla Parker Bowles in April.

7 of 8 Bridesmaids and pageboys posed for photographers outside the church. Holland and his wife have a 15-year-old daughter, Mabel, who was maid of honour at the service.

8 of 8 After the service Holland and his new bride walked to nearby Cooling Castle for the reception. The groom's publicist, Dan Walsh, called the event "a nice casual affair".
