The final part of the journey saw it being towed to the Scottish Bus Museum in Fife for restoration

Restoration work gets under way

HGV mechanics John and Davie began work on the CX19 in earnest in July 2005

The engine and gearbox are removed ready to be cleaned and stripped down

Removing the engine means proper steam cleaning can get under way

Inside, the seats and fittings are also cleared so that corroded metal can be cut out and replaced
