Your bad weather pictures

Newcastle County Down

You sent a selection of your pictures showing the damage inflicted by flooding in many parts of the UK. Gary Galbraith's picture shows the front at Newcastle County Down under wave attack with the Mourne Mountains obscured in the background.

Carlisle evacuation

Olwyn Gibson: "On the east side of Carlisle people were being evacuated from their homes by boats."

Cycling through flood waters

Tristan Tennant sent this picture of "fit residents getting about" despite the conditions in Carlisle.

However many others were trapped in their homes.

Caravans blown over

Averil Sykes: "Here is a picture taken early Saturday morning of two static caravans blown completely over at Port Haverigg Holiday Village, Millom, Cumbria. No one was injured."
