Although the students are parentless, many of them have relatives in the provinces who they visit. These are their pictures from their journeys "home". So Ren: "Selling baseball caps at Chrouy Chang Var bus stop on the way to Kompong Cham."

Sok Mean: "This picture documents the everyday life of Khmer people who sell sugar cane juice. Here they sell it to people waiting for their ferry boat. They work hard to grind sugar cane and to try and save money for their lives in the future."

Sopheap: "This is Khmer food, which the Cambodian people have made, and offered to the monks at the pagoda during the new year ceremony."

Sok Mean: "This photo was taken at Koh Dach village, where the young Khmer people go swimming in the cool season. In the hot season they do not go swimming because it becomes too hot and the place becomes very quiet."

Pisey: "I took this picture of my brother putting up the billboard for the wedding beautician - this is my aunt's business and when we visit her in the countryside we put this sign up in the street every day!"

Chen Ry: "This is my uncle climbing up the palm tree to collect palm oil. This is the job he does to support his family."

Meng Hieng: "These are some of the children who are taken care of by the orphanage, sometimes young children are adopted by foreigners. If the children stay at the orphanage then they need a nurse to take care of them, one nurse is paid $25 per month."
