Bush in Europe
President Bush is touring Europe visiting Russia as well as key NATO allies. While there is support for the American led War on Terror, the American President has also been facing significant protests. BBC News Online brings you coverage of the tour
Normandy
In France, President Bush paid tribute to the Americans killed in Normandy during the D-Day landings. He said America would never forget those who died. He used the visit to speak about the US-led war against terrorism which he said would require the same sacrifice "of our forefathers" in their fight against Nazi Germany.
Berlin
George Bush became the first US president to speak in the newly-refurbished Reichstag as he appealed for unity against global terrorism. However his visit was marred by demonstrations as 20,000 anti-US protesters took to the streets voicing opposition to US policies on trade, the Middle East conflict, and the environment.
Moscow
Russia's support for the US after September 11 contributed to a continuing improvement in relations. Presidents Bush and Putin signed a landmark nuclear arms treaty cutting their nuclear arsenals. President Bush said it was a new chapter in relations.
