Securing our future food supply

Reporter Kayley Thomas looks at how food production should adapt to global warming.

Professor Robert Lee of Cardiff University is working with the Welsh Assembly Government to develop a food strategy for Wales to stand up to climate shocks.

He says Wales should think of climate change as disruption, just as in the case of the recent flooding in Cumbria, that threatens food production.

Food producers, says Prof Lee, should think about what they can produce well and concentrate on this as its contribution to a European food system.
