The biggest test of public political opinion before the next general election is taking place across the UK on Thursday 10 June.
The main election results programmes on BBC TV and radio are on the evening of Thursday 10 June for the local elections and on Sunday 13 June for the European Parliament.
A comprehensive up-to-date results service will be available to digital TV viewers by pressing red or by going to Ceefax page 700. All the latest results and news will also be available here on the Vote 2004 website.

The first results will be announced from approximately 2330 BST with around 50 of 166 council results expected on the night.
On BBC ONE, David Dimbleby will update the results as they come in, with "swingometer" analysis from Peter Snow.
On Radio Five Live, Matthew Bannister in Derby and John Pienaar in London will provide continuous election coverage from the close of polls.
On both TV and radio, leading figures from the main parties will assess the new political landscape, and politicians will be put on the spot in live reports from around Britain.
The remainder of the results are expected on Friday 11 June, as are the results of the London assembly and mayoral elections. The last results are expected by early evening.
Radio Five Live, News 24 and BBC ONE bulletins will provide up to date coverage through Friday as the remaining results come in.

EUROPEAN PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS

Results of the European parliamentary elections cannot be announced until polls have closed across Europe. The counts will take place on Sunday and results will be announced from 2100 BST in the UK and all across Europe.

On BBC TWO, David Dimbleby and Peter Snow will front the BBC's live television coverage on Sunday night.
On Radio Four, James Naughtie and Carolyn Quinn in London and Paul Henley in Brussels will lead Radio Four's European Election Results programme
Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland will not declare their results until Monday morning.
Radio Five Live, News 24 and BBC ONE bulletins will provide updates on Monday.
