Gates: Four years till recovery

The former head of Microsoft, Bill Gates, believes it could take four years for troubled global economies to return to positive growth.

He told the BBC's Bridget Kendall that when the world did get back on track, it would be innovation in science and technology that would drive the upturn.

Mr Gates, and his wife Melinda, are attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
