A second wave of redundancies are made at a chemical plant on Teesside, with 58 workers losing their jobs.

Up to 70 staff have been left jobless after the closure of one of Teesside's biggest hotels.

Nearly 200 jobs at a Northumberland food factory are protected after a 1.5m funding package is agreed.

A 20m expansion of an electronics research centre in County Durham could create hundreds of new jobs in the North East of England.

About 400 jobs at a Cumbrian factory are secured for another six months with a 71m order from the US government for guns.
