June sees the last of the primaries, and it becomes clear who the presidential nominees are.

The weeks ahead of the party conventions in July and August see negotiations within the parties about the policy platform they will present in the national campaign, and about who the nominees for vice president are going to be.

    The Green Party nominates the veteran consumer affairs campaigner, Ralph Nader, as its presidential candidate at the party conference in Denver, Colorado.
