Obama hails nuclear agreement

President Obama has said "the world will now be a safer place" after pledges to improve nuclear security at a summit in Washington.

Nearly 50 world leaders attended and agreed to a four-point plan to secure all loose nuclear materials within four years. Mr Obama said the summit would help prevent nuclear material falling into the hands of terrorists.

The talks have highlighted the improved working relationship between the United States, Russia and China.

Richard Lister reports.
