Tourists spray an elephant with water during the Songkran festival to mark the Thai New Year , in the tourist area of Khao San Road in Bangkok. Songkran marks the summer season in Thailand, where families and friends celebrate the festival by visiting temples and splashing water on each other's hands as an act of wishing good luck.
