EU cautious on integrating Ukraine

Ukraine's president Viktor Yushchenko has said his country is still keen to forge closer ties with the European Union, at the start of a summit in Kiev.

The president said Ukraine was committed to political stability and financial reform.

But Brussels has said little progress has been made on Ukraine's part to certain reforms it promised to make.
