Suicide bombing hits Iraq mosque

breaking news

A suicide bomber has attacked a mosque congregation in northern Iraq, killing at least eight people and wounding about 30 others, Iraqi police say.

Details of the attack in Talafar, a town west of Mosul, are still coming in. Early reports say the mosque was used by Sunni Muslims.

The explosion was triggered as people gathered for the main congregational prayers of the week.
