Russian President Dmitry Medvedev says he is outraged by the death of Natalya Estemirova, a prominent human rights campaigner.
She was abducted from her home in Chechnya and found dead a few hours later. She had been shot - her body was dumped in neighbouring Ingushetia.
Ms Estemirova had been investigating murders and kidnappings in Chechnya. Rupert Wingfield-Hayes reports.
