Italy hit by extreme weather

Southern Italy has been hit by heavy hail storms and flooding.

Pictures from Naples show people picking their way through streets covered in enormous hailstones.

Many cars were upended during the storms, and some residents were forced from their homes.

Southern Italy usually enjoys warm, settled weather during the summer months.
