50 hurt in Tokyo plane plunge

Almost 50 people have been injured after a passenger jet was hit by severe turbulence as it reached Japan.

The Northwest Airlines flight carrying more than 400 people was travelling from Manila in the Philippines, but just before it was due to land in Tokyo, it hit turbulence and went into a rapid descent.
