Cyclone Ellie hits Australia

After days of record breaking temperatures in south eastern Australia, wide spread flooding has hit north eastern parts of the country.

Parts of Queensland are under water after being hit by ex-tropical cyclone Ellie and the floodwaters are continuing to rise with more rain expected.

Dozens of people have had to leave their homes and many roads have been closed.

Dimitri O'Donnell reports.
