Furry forecaster's winter verdict

Crowds have gathered in Pennsylvania for Groundhog Day. This year "Punxsutawney Phil" predicted another six weeks of winter, much to the disappointment of the crowd.

According to ancient folklore - if a groundhog sees his shadow when he leaves his burrow today, it heralds six more weeks of winter. No shadow means an early spring.
