Drag car race

American drag-racer Dante Duce peels out in a cloud of smoke from the starting line of the quarter-mile at Silverstone RAF base, Silverstone, England, 10 September 1963.

This was one of the first transatlantic drag racing competitions and was instrumental to British drag racing getting off the ground. Duce is driving Dean Moon's 600 hp Chevrolet 'Mooneyes.'
