The former Congolese warlord Jean-Pierre Bemba is awaiting trial at the International Criminal Court in the Hague accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Prosecutors allege that Mr Bemba's forces engaged in a horrific campaign of murder, torture and rape against civilians in the Central African Republic in 2002 and 2003.
Mr Bemba denies the charges against him.
The BBC's Mike Thomson travelled to the town of Bossangoa in the north of the Central African Republic to speak to some of Mr Bemba's alleged victims.
