Afghan anti-drugs police unpaid

A senior member of the British counter narcotics team in Afghanistan has said that despite a huge UK-led programme of support, Afghan anti drugs police are not getting paid and are being starved of resources.

Dave Wright, formerly of the UK serious organised crime agency, showed George Alagiah a bunker where his team store seized drugs, often stopping narcotics from Afghanistan hitting the streets of the Western world.
