On 20 August 1968, the Prague Spring - in which Prime Minister Alexander Dubcek tried to bring in liberal reforms - was crushed by Soviet tanks. Do you have a personal experience of that historic moment to share?

After those events, it would take more than 20 years for the curtain to come down on communism in the Kremlin.

The dissident playwright Vaclav Havel spearheaded the country's Velvet Revolution and became the first president of post-communist Czechoslovakia.

Did you live in Czechoslovakia at the time of the Soviet invasion or in the intervening years leading to the Velvet Revolution? Are you among the young generation of Czech citizens who have no memory of communist rule?
