Chinese earthquake: Your stories

More than 8,500 people have been killed by a powerful earthquake in China's Sichuan province, state media say. Many more are feared killed or injured and buildings have been destroyed.

People caught up in the earthquake have been sending the BBC pictures and eyewitness accounts of the damage.
