The verdicts on Iraq progress
|

In September, the White House released its final assessment of the Iraqi government's progress towards 18 benchmarks laid down by Congress.
Progress was satisfactory in only nine of the 18 key political and military areas - one more than in July, when it released its initial findings.
US congressional watchdog the Government Accountability Office also delivered its own assessment.
