A leader of Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad and a fellow militant have been killed by Israeli forces, officials say.
Nidal Abu-Saada, a leader of the group's military wing in the northern West Bank, was killed in clashes in the village of Arraba near Jenin.
An Israeli spokeswoman said a gunfight broke out when its soldiers surrounded a house during a raid.
An Israeli border police officer was also severely wounded in the raid.
Islamic Jihad has said it was behind a number of suicide bombings in Israel in the last year, including an attack that killed five people in Netanya in December.
In response, Israel has arrested and killed many of the group's leading members in the West Bank and Gaza.
