Five firefighters have been hurt after being called to an incident on a BA plane after it landed in the US.
The captain of the London-to-Boston flight reported the smell of fumes at Logan International Airport, in Boston, at 0230 GMT on Monday.
The 219 passengers and 14 crew were not hurt, but firefighters reportedly complained of burning eyes and throats.
Emergency services discovered a small fire in an area of electronic wiring underneath the aircraft.
Engineers are investigating the incident.
After the plane touched down, the pilot called the control tower to report a flashing cockpit fire light.
All passengers were off the plane by the time the emergency services arrived, according to a BA spokesman.
Massachusetts Port Authority spokesman Phil Orlandella said the firefighters had complained of burning in their throats and eyes.
