How to comment on Have Your Say

To add your comment to a discussion, click the Add your comment button on the discussion page. If you are a registered user, you will get a page with a postform. Simply write your comment in the box. You can then preview your comment or submit it.

If you are not a registered user, you can optionally fill in the other fields that appear with the postform, such as your name, email and location, before previewing or submitting your comment.

Is there a limit to the length of my comment?

Normally, yes, but it can vary. If there is a limit to the length of comment for a discussion it will be clearly shown at the top of the postform.

What happens next?

NON REGISTERED USERS

If you are not a registered user, your comment will have to be checked by a Have Your Say moderator before it is published on the site.

Due to the large volume of comments that we receive, we can't guarantee that all comments submitted will be published on the site, but we try our best to publish as many as we can.

REGISTERED USERS

Reactively Moderated discussions

If you are a registered user, your comment will be published directly to the site in the case of Reactively Moderated discussions (Moderation explained).

In the case of Fully Moderated discussions your comment will be checked by a Have Your Say moderator (Moderation explained).
