People with advanced liver cancer will be denied a new drug on the NHS under draft guidance published on Thursday.

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence says the price of the drug is 'too high'. However, cancer charities have said it is the only drug that has been shown to extend patient's lives.

The new guidelines apply to England, Wales and Northern Ireland - Scotland have already rejected use of the drug.

Graham Satchell reports.
