Scientists say they have developed a vaccine that could cut the risk of HIV infection by nearly a third.
The trail on 16,000 volunteers is the first time a vaccine has been shown to give even limited protection against the virus that causes Aids.
The former US President, Bill Clinton, who's Global Initiative Foundation helps tackle issues on poverty and HIV/Aids, gave his reaction to the developments.
