Health minister rejects NHS cuts

The Government says it has rejected advice to cut the number of NHS staff in England by nearly ten per cent.

Its own consultants put forward the plan which would save 20 billion pounds by 2014.

The Health Minister Mike O'Brien says many services need more workers, not fewer.
