How to pin a broken bone

Former prime minister Lady Thatcher is recovering after routine surgery to insert a pin in her arm, after she broke it in a fall.

But just what is involved in such a procedure? The BBC's Jane Hughes spoke to orthopaedic surgeon Professor David Marsh to find out.
