More swine flu cases in Europe

The first death from swine flu outside Mexico has been confirmed in the US state of Texas.

Swine flu cases have been recorded in Canada, New Zealand, Spain, Britain, Israel, Germany and Austria.

Mexico remains the hardest hit, with 159 suspected deaths from the outbreak, although the Mexican government says that only seven deaths can be conclusively attributed to swine flu.

Steve Kingstone reports from Madrid.
