The truth about raw carrots

In a new BBC Two series Professor Lesley Regan investigates the multi-million pound slimming and diet food industry to discover the truth behind the hype.

The raw carrot is billed as the ultimate health food, but in this unusual experiment at the Institute of Food Research with the first computerised stomach model, Professor Regan discovers raw is not always best.

Professor Regan's Diet Clinic is on BBC Two at 2100 BST, on Thursday, 16 April.
