'I am allergic to bananas'

Alexander Lambert, a 15-year-old schoolboy from Essex, first discovered he had an allergic reaction to bananas four years ago.

He was referred by his GP to a specialist clinic in Cambridge where skin tests showed an allergic reaction to a variety of fruit and vegetables.
