Scientists dismiss 'detox myth'

There is no evidence that products widely promoted to help the body "detox" work, scientists have warned.

The charitable trust Sense About Science reviewed 15 products and found many detox claims were "meaningless".

Alice Tuff from Sense about Science and Nas Amir-Ahmadi, who runs a company providing detox products, discussed the meaning of ''detoxing'' on BBC Breakfast.
