Living with early-onset dementia

Bill, who is 57, was diagnosed with dementia in September 2006.

He calls his Alzheimer's the beast, after the Johnny Cash song The Beast in Me.

Bill needs to have order. Everything has to be in the same place, in the same pocket of his coat. If the routine changes then he struggles.

He likes to walk in the public park very close to his home in Coventry. This is a place where he says he doesn't have dementia, he has no fear, just long term memories.

He wants the same funding for dementia that cancer has been given.
