Police in part of England are offering to cut people's punishment when they are caught and fined for being drunk, if they agree to go on an alcohol awareness course.

The scheme is being trialled in Hertfordshire and is designed to try to curb the binge drinking culture amongst young people.

Scott went on the course after a day of drinking ended with police finding him passed out on a main road.
