Jersey trial of man charged with rape and assault

A 26-year-old man has appeared before Jersey's Royal Court accused of the rape of one woman and indecently assaulting another in St Brelade.

Ruslan Boidakovs, of Latvia, has denied the offences which are alleged to have taken place in May and June 2008.

Crown Advocate Sarah Fitz told the court the alleged rape of a 28-year-old woman occurred after a party at a pub.

She said the other woman was allegedly indecently assaulted twice by Mr Boidakovs on two occasions.
