Weather postpones firework events

Two official fireworks displays due to take place in Jersey have been postponed because of bad weather.

A display on Saturday at Les Creux in St Brelade and another planned at St Martin were both called off.

The decision was taken after prolonged rain or hail showers, thunder and gusts of up to 40mph (64kph) were predicted.

The display at Les Creux will now take place on Sunday night and the event at St Martin has been rescheduled for next Saturday evening.
