Rape accused boy appears in court

A 15-year-old boy accused of raping a woman in Jersey has been committed to the Royal Court.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is also charged with robbing his alleged victim.

A 19-year-old woman is said to have been attacked by the boy near Westmount Road in St Helier on 13 October.

The teenager, who appeared in the Youth Court and was committed to the Royal Court, will remain in custody until his next appearance.
