Racers will take part in a 150km race stage on the island

Jersey is host a two-day stage of a major French cycling race. The Tour de Bretagne, which is known for attracting world class riders, held a time trial along the island's Victoria Avenue two years ago. But race officials have announced the Tour is to hold a full stage race in 2010, the first time a full stage has been held outside Brittany. Jersey tourism officials said more than 100 riders would take part, with teams from all over the world. Racers will take part in a 150km (93 mile) race from the east of the island and along the north coast. There will also be a time trial stage on the Five Mile Road.
