Three more affected by swine flu

Helvetia House School
The school was temporarily closed on Friday as a precaution

Three more cases of swine flu have been confirmed in Jersey.

Helvetia House School was closed on Friday after it was confirmed one pupil had the H1N1 virus.

However the States of Jersey health department has said there are three new cases of swine flu relating to that original incident in St Helier.

It said all those affected had recovered and returned to the school which had reopened. All pupils were treated with anti-viral medication.

The States of Jersey said six cases of swine flu have now been confirmed in the island.

Islanders experiencing flu-like symptoms have been advised to ask their GP for a home visit rather than attend the surgery.
