Youths join in sailing challenge

Trinity Sailing Trust boat Leader
The sailing trips could become an annual event

Ten young people from Jersey are sailing to France as part of a challenge to improve their skills and increase their confidence.

The group aged from 16 to 21, will spend a week on former trawler Leader, owned by the Trinity Sailing Trust.

They have been chosen for the trip because they are not employed or in full time education.

It is the second time a group from Jersey has taken part and the Trust hopes it will become an annual event.

The Trust was established in Brixham, south Devon in 1999 and operates three vessels, the former sailing trawlers Leader and Provident and the gaff cutter Golden Vanity.
