Paramedics take action over pay

Jersey Ambulance Service
Paramedics are working to contract

Ambulance staff in Jersey are to take action in a dispute over pay.

The service has been in talks with the States for the past two years but said there was still no pay structure for emergency frontline staff.

Paramedics will be working to contract which bosses said should not affect emergency cover but may strain some day-to-day functions of the service.

Health Minister, Senator Jimmy Perchard, said he regretted the action being taken.
