Aircraft emergency closes runway

A small aircraft had to make an emergency landing at Jersey airport after experiencing full engine failure.

Emergency services rushed to the airport after the private plane, with four people on board, reported having engine trouble.

The aircraft was on its way from Cranford in the UK to Nantes in France when it was diverted to Jersey.

The plane landed without incident and no-one was injured. The runway closed briefly while the plane was inspected.
