Last year 12 people were charged with drink-driving

About 200 people have been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in Jersey over the past year.
The figures from Jersey Police are similar to the previous year.
By midday on Tuesday, 10 people had been held on suspicion of drinking and driving this month - lower than the monthly average for 2008.
Jersey Police did not run a specific Christmas drink-drive campaign, but chose instead to operate year-round patrols and checks.
With many islanders preparing to celebrate the new year, Insp Mark Hafey has warned people not to drive the morning after drinking alcohol as it could still be in their systems.
